I have seen people in London cycling along wearing 'cans' (the whole ear headphones). Not sure how they are still alive...!

There was an experiment in Denmark that turned a road into a completely shared space - no distinction between pavement or vehicle space, with the idea being that motorists would be forced to pay attention. (There's certainly some evidence that sign after sign after traffic light etc creates some information fatigue and leads to poorer driving). Not sure how well it worked, though RNIB campaigned vigorously against any application in the UK.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919432872771641105.post-41884069574801195242010-06-17T11:32:19.056+01:002010-06-17T11:32:19.056+01:00completely agree with you! 100%. I have no doubt I am probably starting to be seen by the Local Authority as a pain in the a@@ for my constant writing and emailing complaining about the poor state of the roads surface. I have complained many times that as a cyclist I feel punished by the council every time I take my bike on the road, at the end of the day one more bike on the road = one less car, and yet as a cyclist I feel I have to endure and put up with nasty potholes, cracks and dangerous drivers' behaviour, getting home in one piece always feels like luck... we've got to pester them if we want things to change... :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919432872771641105.post-37421809516675819942010-06-16T18:03:59.200+01:002010-06-16T18:03:59.200+01:00yeah, well said!yeah, well said!Johttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09740858192409807745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919432872771641105.post-12568772873571127302010-06-16T15:58:49.994+01:002010-06-16T15:58:49.994+01:00Here here!!!
